A Life Dedicated to Conservation
Rich’s commitment to wildlife and the environment is longstanding. He’s a lifetime member of both the Cortland County Trappers Association and the Independent Fur Harvesters of CNY. His expertise in the field was further solidified during his tenure as a Trapper Training Instructor for New York State, a role he held for 10 years.
Mentorship and Professional Growth
Rich honed his skills in wildlife removal under the guidance of Al La France, a notable figure associated with the NYS Dept of Environmental Conservation. This mentorship, particularly in the realm of bat removal regulations, significantly shaped his professional approach.
Diverse Career Path
Rich’s educational background in Environmental Conservation, culminating in an Associates in Applied Science degree, laid a solid foundation for his diverse career ventures. Before stepping into the wildlife removal industry, he owned a Mobil gas station from 1989 to 2016 and ran Arctic Insulation from 2004 to 2014. His direct involvement in wildlife removal began with AAD Wildlife Control in 2008, eventually leading to his current role as the franchise owner of AAAC Wildlife Removal of Central Kentucky since May 2, 2023.
Rich’s Connection with Community and Nature
Rich’s life story is deeply intertwined with the rural and agricultural settings he’s lived in, from Upstate New York to Wyoming, and now in Custer, Kentucky. His commitment to community service is evident through his active participation in fire departments in every state he’s called home, including his current role in the Custer Fire Department.
